PRC Weekly Update

Here are a few quick hits of what is going on at Pine Ridge Church this week!

1. AWAKEN | WEEK 2
Photobucket
Sometimes it would be nice to just start over. But, maybe it’s not a fresh start you need. Maybe it’s just time for you to wake up. It’s time to let God breathe new life back into you.

Awaken is a 3-week series on letting God expose the person you were born to be. The old has gone. The new has come. An Awakening has begun…

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2. BAPTISMS | APRIL 18TH
The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the next step after giving your life to Jesus. Baptism is your chance to stand up and tell the world about your personal commitment to follow Jesus.

Baptism isn’t what saves you, but it’s an outward symbol of your inner commitment to follow Christ. In a way, baptism is a lot like a wedding ring. The ring doesn’t make you married, but it’s a symbol of your love and devotion to your spouse, and that your life is being lived for someone else.

If you would like more information about Baptism, please contact Brandon Delk or call 336.329.8478.

3. VOLUNTEER STAFF
This past Sunday, we had 65 people sign-up to join our Volunteer Staff. We saw our volunteer base grow 74% in a single day. It was unbelievable to see so many people respond and take the next step. We believe God has something incredible planned for our church in the coming months and having the proper volunteers allows us to facilitate the growth that He is bringing our way.

If you would like to find-out more about joining our Volunteer Staff, then click HERE!

4. WORK DAY
This Sunday, immediately following our 10:30a service, we will be removing all of our equipement from our current facility and moving it to our new building. We would like to invite you to stay after and give us a hand packing up and moving all of our stuff. If you can’t stay right after church, then join us at our new building later Sunday afternoon to install our equipment and clean. Thanks in advance for your willingness to help!!

3. Building Update
In less than 4 weeks, we will be making the move to our new facility! April 4th [Easter Sunday], can’t get here fast enough. Things are really progressing over at the new building and it’s been so amazing to watch it all come together. I can’t wait to see that place completed and packed full of people. What a tremendous opportunity God has given us to impact so many more people in this county. It’s going to be awesome!

Financially things are progressing for us as well, but we still have some work to do. We are currently only $23,461.42 from finishing everything we set out to do with this renovation project. That is flat-out amazing! Do you remember back when we talked about needing $250,000 to complete this project and many of us, including me, thought that we were crazy? Well, we are just about there. It’s still going to take all of us sacrificing, and staying faithful to our commitments to get this done, but we can do this! We are so close.

I want to encourage you to continue to stay faithful to your commitment. If you didn’t get a chance to commit to our campaign, want to begin giving or continue giving to this campaign, then please feel free to do so. All you have to do is go HERE, make sure you select the 5×5 category in the drop down menu, and you can give a one time gift or continue to make payments on your commitment.

Thanks for you continued faith and belief in PRC. Without your commitment to generosity, all of this wouldn’t be possible.

The best is yet to come!

PRC Midweek Update | week of 3.7.10

Here are a few quick hits of what is going on at Pine Ridge Church this week!

1.Battlefield | final week!
Photobucket
Are you worn out? Miserable? Do you feel like it’s a constant battle when it comes to your marriage, kids, finances, or relationships? Are you ready to trade it all in and start over?

If you’re at this point, then join us February 7th for a four week series that will discuss the battle that is taking place and what we should be fighting for.

Mar. 7th - Bootcamp

2. Awaken Packet | DOWNLOAD HERE
By now, many of you have received a copy of our 2010 Awaken Packet. If you have not yet received a copy of the packet, then please CLICK HERE to download a copy. In this packet, you will see some pretty audacious goals that we’re chasing after in 2010. In order to accomplish these goals, we’re going to have to commit and sacrifice together. The simple fact is that ministry costs money. Right now, about 20% of the people in our church fund 80% of the ministry. This means that there are lot of people sitting on the sidelines who have the opportunity to get in the game. Will you make a commitment to be part of helping us achieve the vision that God has given us for reaching this county with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ?

If so, there are several ways that you can help:

a. Make a special, one-time offering or gift to PRC. You can CLICK HERE to give online.

b. Set-up Recurring Giving. This is the best and easiest way to stay faithful in your giving. You can email Jennifer Snipes to get started or call our offices at 336-329-8478.

c. Set-up Online Bill Pay through your bank. Make checks payable to Pine Ridge Church. Our address is 323 West Harden Street, Graham, NC 27253.

d. Increase your regular giving in 2010. Will you consider increasing your giving by $35 a week or even just $50 a month? If you’ve never given before, would you consider committing to just $50 a month, less than $2 a day?

Please take a moment to fill-out the commitment page included in your packet. You can drop your commitment in the offering basket during our time of giving, in one of the blue boxes throughout our facility, or mail it to our office.

2. Would you be willing to make a move?
Over the past several weeks, we’ve seen many new faces around Pine Ridge Church. Tons of first time guests have walked through our doors, and we have seen God do amazing things in the lives of the people at PRC.

However, due to continuing growth, we’ve just about filled our second service to capacity the past three weeks. We’re asking that you and your family consider moving to our 9:00a service for just a few weeks until we open our new facility on April 4th. It is our desire to continue to provide seats and a overall incredible experience for our first time guests and this would definitely help us continue to fulfill that vision.

Thanks in advance for all of that will make the move - open a seat - and allow someone else to be impacted through PRC!!

3. 5X5 Campaign Update
Photobucket
Things continue to progress on our new facility. This past week, drywall was completed throughout the facility, the stage has been installed, and HVAC is just about finished. Painting has begun this week and electrical should be done by next week. It’s awesome to see the vision God has given us begin to take shape.

As we continue to watch this facility transform, I wanted to also keep you updated on where we are financially. To-date we have received $56,555.80 of the $111,000 that was pledged. Obviously, we still have some work to do. This project is going to cost us $250,000 to complete.

Many of you have asked about extending your commitment through the completion of this project. I would encourage you to do just that. It’s going to take all over us working together to fulfill the dream that God has given us and I have no doubt that His church can get this done.

If you would like to contribute to our Campaign, to continue to chip away at your pledge, or if you would like more information about what we have planned, simply CLICK HERE. Also, feel free to call us at our offices with any questions at 336.329.8478 or email us at info@pineridgechurch.com.

4. Baptisms | April 18th
The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the next step after giving your life to Jesus. Baptism is your chance to stand up and tell the world about your personal commitment to follow Jesus.

The Bible defines Baptism as:
-A sign of identification (Acts 8:36-38)
-Symbolic of death and resurrection (Romans 6:4-5)
-Representative of a cleansing (1 Peter 3:1)
-Important step of obedience in Scripture (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 John 2:3)

Baptism isn’t what saves you, but it’s an outward symbol of your inner commitment to follow Christ. In a way, baptism is a lot like a wedding ring. The ring doesn’t make you married, but it’s a symbol of your love and devotion to your spouse, and that your life is being lived for someone else.

We offer baptism services throughout the year. If you would like more information about Baptism, please contact Brandon Delk at brandon@pineridgechurch.com or call 336.329.8478.
