The Walking Dead begins this Sunday @ 11:00a ONLY!

The Walk Dead Front of Card

March 3rd – April 7th

During this six week teaching series, we will examine and seek what it means to move from death to life. Each week we will challenge your understanding of life, the resurrection, the death of Jesus, God’s vision for your life, and all things “dead” in our lives and in the church.

Each sermon will leave you with a choice… you can choose life and freedom in Christ or you can choose to be THE WALKING DEAD.

Happening this week at PRC!!

What can we learn from Adam & Eve?

photo Adam-and-Eve-Web_zps5cb5d262.jpgWhat does it mean to be a Godly Husband? How about a Godly wife? What does God want from me, as a Single? You have questions, and the book of Genesis has answers. There is so much we can learn from the first marriage between Adam & Eve.  This is a serious about marriage and relationships.  So, whether you’re currently single, engaged, married, or have been previously divorced…. this series is for you!!  We challenge you to not miss a week of this series.  Are you up for the challenge?

If so, join us this Sunday at 11:00 am, as we kick-off our new teaching series titled, Adam & Eve.  Our Foundations teachings series will also continue during our 9:30 am service.

We hope to see you then!!

Are you ready to fight?

Last Sunday, Pastor Tadd challenged us from the story of David and Goliath. His challenge was for us to come down off the hillside and to fight in the valley together.  Pastor Tadd asked everyone to take some honest assessment of our own involvement and to ask ourselves, “Are we fighting together or are we just showing up each week and observing the fight”?  The reality is that we have a cause to fight for.  We have a community that desperately needs Jesus.  We don’t need people that just observe the fight… we need those that are willing to lock arms and fight for the cause with us.  When it comes to your time, your connections, your serving, your passion for reaching people far from God, and your finances… are you fighting in every area of your life?  As Pastor Tadd said, “If you are not fighting with us, then you are actually fighting against us.”

So many people asked us after the service how they can start this year off right, get involved at PRC, and begin living this out.  We’ve put together a short list of some incredible opportunities for you to get involved.  These opportunities, when embraced by everyone at our church, will enable us to advance the vision God has given us for our church.  We’re praying that we will see involvement, attendance, obedience, and ownership rise to a new level in 2013.  As a result, we believe God is going to exceed our expectations.

4 ways you can fight with us this year:
1.  Volunteering.  Our Volunteers are the VIP of our church.  Sundays would not happen if were not for our incredible volunteer teams.  Our volunteers realize that Sunday is about something so much more than just what they can get out of our church.  Their hearts are focused on what they can give to the church by giving our guests the best church experience possible.  If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer at PRC or maybe you’ve just fallen away from a team you were once working with, then email Brandon Delk and let’s get you in the game.

2.  LifeGroups.  LifeGroups are small groups of people that are specifically designed to make a large church smaller and more intimate.  These groups meet during the week in different homes throughout our community.  They spend time digging through Sundays message, asking and answering questions, praying together, and spend time together doing other fun activities outside of the church.  This is a great place to connect and to get to know some other families at PRC that truly love, care, and want to get to know you.  If you’re interested in learning more about LifeGroups or getting plugged, then email Will Hatten.

3.  Pine Ridge Bible Studies.  We have both Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies that meet throughout the week. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 pm, the men of our church gather together and every Thursday night at 6:30 pm our lades gather together, for a time of prayer and study in our Ignite Students room.  This is an incredible night of connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth.  Men, if you would like more information about our Men’s Bible Study, then please email Tony Diana.  Ladies, if you would like more information about our Ladies Bible Study, then please email Jennifer Snipes.

4.  Giving.  God influences the world through His people and His people are what make-up His church. Every dollar you give to PRC makes an impact in this community and across the earth for the glory of Jesus Christ; the Gospel is preached, lives are changed, the hungry are fed, and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can continue to be a blessing for God.  PRC will not advance without the faithful and intentional giving of our church. We are praying that you would truly make God the first priority in your finances this year. The reality is this, if you don’t make God the priority in your finances, then something or someone else will always compete to be your priority.

There are many ways to begin giving at PRC, but here a just a few:

  1. Sign-up for Automated Giving and you can have your bank account automatically drafted
  2. Giving online weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
  3. Setting up automatic bill pay through your bank
  4. Mailing in your gifts to 904 East Main Street | Haw River, NC 27258
  5. Giving on Sunday mornings during our time of giving

These are four great ways to practically start locking-in at PRC.  We truly believe that God has some incredible things planned for our church this year.  We are praying that you and your family take some serious ownership of your church in 2013.  If we are going to be a church that does, “Whatever It Takes”, then we have to be people that are willing to do “Whatever It Takes”.   Our prayer is that we can do this together.  Let’s take God at His word and just see what He has in store!

MAKE WAR!!

Photobucket “And the Philistines stood on the mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on the mountain on the other side, with a valley between them.”—1 Samuel 17:3

Two mountains. Two camps. Two sides. There’s no middle ground; the battle is going to happen in the valley in between. Are you going to run and hide? Or stay and fight? It’s time to MAKE WAR!!

This Sunday, we begin our new MAKE WAR teaching series.  Our normal Sunday schedule will resume with service at 9:30a & 11:00a.  We can’t wait to see you and Pine Ridge Church as we kick-off 2013 with a bang.

Take a minute and read this note from our Pastor:

Sunday, we begin a new teaching series at Pine Ridge Church titled, Make War. I’d ask that in preparation you read 1 Samuel 17:1-11 and come ready. I honestly believe that God has something HUGE in store for you during this series and I don’t want you to miss any of it.

I’d also ask with this new year, that you and your family make a decision to re-prioritize your commitment to church. Take some time to evaluate your life, your values, your priorities and clear some space. God has something great in store for our church this year and you and your family are so valuable in seeing God’s plan come to fruition. Don’t let the “good” extracurricular activities distract you from the “great” things God has for your life. Parents, teaching your kids that God is the #1 priority and everything else takes a back seat is 100% hinged on what they see you actively living out. I pray you own that responsibility this year like never before.

I believe one of the greatest detriments to the Christian life is not being an ACTIVE member of God’s church. Don’t make a resolution to do better this year… make a commitment! Make a commitment to God, to your family, to yourself, and then discipline yourself to make it a priority.

I can’t wait to see what God has for us in 2013! I believe it’s going to take all of us to get it done. Hold on, because it’s going to be an exciting adventure!!

I love my church.
I love each and every one of you.
See you Sunday.

No PRC this weekend? We got you covered…

We hope you’re enjoying some down time with your family, getting some rest, and are preparing to ring in the New Year.  As you know, we have NO SERVICES at Pine Ridge Church this Sunday, but we have still made a way for you and your family to worship this weekend.

Attached [at the bottom of this email] is a devotional that Pastor Tadd put together so that you can still gather with your family and focus on starting 2013 off right.  Take some time today or tomorrow to gather with your family and read this devotional and spend some time in prayer together.

As you pray, pray that you will make yourself available to be used by God in a new way this year.  Also, pray that God will use our church in a major way to make a HUGE difference for Jesus.  We believe that 2013 is going to be the best year in the life of our church and we honestly believe that you are going to be play a BIG role in making that happen.  We pray that you will come back next week more focused and prepared for what God has in your life and in our church.  We can’t wait to see what God has in store.  Our normal services resume next Sunday at 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.

Since we are not having services this weekend, we ask that you still stay faithful with your tithes and offerings by giving online this week at PRCGIVING.COM.

We thank you for worshiping with us and we pray that you have a safe and happy new year!!

Closing out 2012…

PhotobucketAs 2012 comes to a close, it’s a great time to look back on all that God has done at Pine Ridge Church.  This year we have seen 139 people make decisions to follow Christ with their lives, Baptized over 90 people, celebrated our five year anniversary, kicked-off our THRIVE initiative, seen tons of new families attend our church, and we are looking to finish out this year in the best financial position in the life of our church.  We also just saw the second largest attendance in the history of our church for our Christmas Services.  It’s been an awesome year.  Let’s stop and celebrate all that God is doing!!

As you may know, we have no services this Sunday December 30th.  Our normal services will resume January 6, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.  As we look to close-out 2012, you may not realize this, but not having church on the final Sunday of the year does affect our financial outlook. As an organization that does ministry because of generous contributions, we obviously will not participate in our normal time of weekly giving.  I would like to encourage you to still worship with us this weekend through giving your normal tithes and offerings online.

Here’s the link to make a quick donation online. All of your online contributions are tax-deductible and will be included on your year-end giving statement.  Online giving is safe, simple and secure.

Remember, giving is the way we fund ministry like kids, students, facilities, community service, and weekend services. It’s a way that we worship God and prioritize Him in our lives. Closing out 2012 strong will ensure that we are able to kick-off 2013 in the right direction.  I want to thank you in advance for you generosity and for being faithful in your giving. I thank God for you each and every day. I am proud of our church and the ministry God has given us in Alamance County and around the world. I look forward to seeing you after the first of the year for our best year of ministry yet.

Thank you for your generous support, and for helping us do whatever it takes to reach people that are far from God!  We couldn’t do it without you!!

Happy New Year!!

P.S. As you know every year we take part in our annual Christmas.  This Christmas because of our collaborative generosity, we were able to supply Christmas to over 20 families.  We are also looking to dig a hand-dug clean-water well in Burkina Faso Africa.  This well will provid clean water to hundreds of people in a village.  Many of you have asked about year-end giving and our Christmas Gift Offering.  You can read more about our Christmas Gift Offering and how you can give to it HERE.

There are a few more days left in 2012, and you still have time to make your tax deductible donation before year’s end. As a reminder, there are several opportunities for you to give. You can give online or you can mail your gift. All contributions are 100% tax deductible for the 2012 tax year if postmarked by December 31, 2012.

You may send contributions to:
