You know everyone is going to be ready to get out of the house and have a break from the kids - so why not just invite them to PRC this weekend??

2. Two ways to get connected at PRC

a. LifeGroups
LifeGroups are a great way to get plugged-in at PRC. Pine Ridge Church is committed more than ever to building a culture of community. We believe that true spiritual growth takes place as we build relationships in settings that encourage transparency and openness. LifeGroups that meet together in people’s homes on a regular basis provide that setting.

If you join a LifeGroup at Pine Ridge Church, here’s what you can expect:
//engaging with sermons on a deeper level
//the ability to apply Biblical principles and sermon topics to your own life
//the chance to serve, as a Life Group, at various outreach opportunities
//opportunities to connect and build relationships with other people

We hope that as you become connected with the vision of Pine Ridge Church, you will take the next step with us and join a LifeGroup.

If you are interested in joining a LifeGroup, then simply CLICK HERE to get started and someone from our staff will be in contact with you shortly.

b. Volunteer Staff

Some churches have members - we have volunteers! Our Volunteer Staff are the VIP of Pine Ridge Church! We have a huge volunteer force of talented, gifted, unique and committed “unpaid staff.” By joining a team, you are not only impacting the community by serving, you are able to build relationships and experience community with your team.

If you want to become a part of what we’re doing - to connect, learn, grow, and impact our city - we welcome you with open arms and no strings attached. Volunteer Staff is one the best ways for you to connect at Pine Ridge Church.

3. 5X5 Campaign Update
Photobucket
Things continue to progress on our new facility. This past week, electrical and plumbing permits were approved, drywall has been going up, stage is beginning to be laid out, and HVAC is being finished. It’s awesome to see the vision God has given us begin to take shape.

As we continue to watch this facility transform, I wanted to also keep you updated on where we are financially. To-date we have received $54,765.80 of the $111,000 that was pledged. Obviously, we still have some work to do. This project is going to cost us $250,000 to complete.

Many of you have asked about extending your commitment through the completion of this project. I would encourage you to do just that. It’s going to take all over us working together to fulfill the dream that God has given us and I have no doubt that His church can get this done.

If you would like to contribute to our Campaign, to continue to chip away at your pledge, or if you would like more information about what we have planned, simply CLICK HERE. Also, feel free to call us at our offices with any questions at 336.329.8478 or email us at info@pineridgechurch.com.

PRC Inclement Weather Update!

Due to the weather we’ve experienced over the past 24 hours, the extreme drop in temperatures, and the freezing rain we are currently experiencing - we have been forced to cancel our weekend services at Pine Ridge Church. We hate to have to do it, but our concern for your safety is our number one priority. Due to the cancellation, we will be extending our current teaching series another week. We feel the message and service we had planned for this weekend is too important to skip. We plan to wrap up our current teaching series, Destination Nowhere, next Sunday. We still want to encourage you to invite your friends and family. This will be a tremendous opportunity for someone you care about to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Two things that you can still do this weekend:

1. If you have missed any of the past weeks from our current teaching series, we would like to encourage you to go back and watch them online HERE.

2. If you are a regular giver at PRC, we would ask that you continue to worship through giving your normal tithes and offerings online. You can access our online giving HERE. Over the past few months, our weekly operations budget has taken a big hit with the weather and the holidays. We appreciate your generosity in advance as we continue to combine our resources in order to pursue the vision God has given us for reaching Alamance County.

We hope and pray that you and your family stay warm over the next few days and stay safe if you absolutely must head-out. We can’t wait to see you next Sunday!!

Enjoy your time in the snow!!

3. 5X5 Campaign Update

Things continue to progress on our new facility. This past week they’ve began our electrical work, continued to work on expanding our bathrooms, framed out all of the walls, been working on new AC & heating units, and beginning to hang drywall and begin the finishings. It’s awesome to see the vision God has given us begin to take shape. There are still so many details still to finalize, things to order, and equipment to install, but it’s unbelievable to see what God is doing and I’m pumped to watch it all come together. I can’t wait to see the lives that are going to be impacted by this tool that God is given us. We prayed, as a church, that God would expand our capacity to reach thousands of people in Alamance County that are far from God and He has provided us with that opportunity.

As we continue to watch this facility transform, I wanted to also keep you updated on where we are financially. Back in October, many of you pledged to be part of our 5×5 Campaign [more info HERE]. On October 25th, we had over $111,000 pledged to this project by the people of PRC. That alone was flat-out amazing! To-date we have actually received $54,765.80.

4. Online Giving | HERE
We often get asked, “What is the best way to stay faithful in my giving”? The answer is simple, online giving. A good majority of the people at PRC, including our staff, take advantage of online giving. In a day and time when checks have become almost obsolete and everyone is paying bills online - it’s the best way to stay faithful in your giving. Simply click the link provided above to get started. You can use this free service to give online, manage recurring contributions, and see your giving history. It’s safe, secure, and easy.

If you would like to be set-up with recurring giving, email Jennifer Snipes and she will get you everything you need.

See you this Sunday!!

3. GroupLink | 4:00pm-5:30p | this Sunday
GroupLink is simply designed to facilitate a beginning or connection to a LifeGroup. We understand that the jump from the Worship Auditorium to someone’s living room is a big one. GroupLink bridges that gap by allowing you to start from scratch with a brand new group that is being formed. It also allows you an opportunity to connect with your LifeGroup leader and the people that will be included in your LifeGroup.

Join us this Sunday for our first ever GroupLink. There will be snacks and childcare is provided for FREE. Can’t wait to see you there!!

2. 30-Day Bible Reading Challenge
Photobucket
It’s something we SHOULD do. It’s something we WANT to do. It’s something we NEED to do. And the best part is… we’re doing it together.

Every year thousands of people promise themselves they’re going to do it this year. They’re going to read through the Bible. Or they’re going to read a little bit everyday. Or they’re just going to start fresh and do better this year. Most people don’t make it. Not even through the first month.

But this year is different. We’re going to start with something we can all handle. It’s the new year, and we’re reading through three book from the New Testament together. And we’re doing it in 30 days. We really want you to commit to doing this with us. We’ll kick-off our reading challenge this Sunday.

Listen, we know that reading the Bible is something that is tough to just start. So, we picked these three books in the Bible because they’re easy reading and will help you get started.

If you aren’t able to carry a Bible with you to work, school, or wherever you are during the day, then try-out this free online tool called Youversion.com. This is something that most of our staff use here at PRC. Youversion.com has a free mobile application [which I highly recommend] and online access from anywhere you can get internet connection. You can journal online and even check-out other people’s perspective on a specific piece of scripture. All you have to do is set-up a free account and you’re ready to roll.

If you would like a reading plan so you can pace yourself each day, then CLICK HERE. I hope that you will accept this challenge and join us over the next 30 days if you haven’t done so already! For all of you that have chosen to join us - we are praying for you daily!!

3. 5X5 Campaign Update
Photobucket
Things are rapidly progressing on our new facility. This past week we finalized renderings, all coding was approved by the city, and by Friday you will begin to see construction equipment arriving at our new location. Construction is set to begin on Monday and our launch date is still set for Aril 4th. It’s awesome to see what God is doing and I’m pumped to watch it all come together. I can’t wait to see the lives that are going to be impacted by the tool that God is given us. We prayed, as a church, that God would expand our capacity to reach thousands of people in Alamance County that are far from God and He has provided us with that opportunity.

3. 30-Day Tithe Challenge
The word “tithe” is derived from the Hebrew word ma’aser and it literally means a tenth. In Malachi 3:10-11, God says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house.” The ’storehouse’ is the Old Testament picture of the New Testament church. So as New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe; or the first ten percent.

We realize that giving away 10% of your income can be a big - and often frightening - commitment! We also know that for many people giving 10% of anything in this economy is tough. We understand that and we believe that God understands that. However, we do believe that we should begin giving something regularly. It is not the churches job to define what that looks like for you and your family, but we do believe that trusting God with your finances is a necessary next step in your walk with Christ.

Bottom line is this: God doesn’t need our money, because He owns everything. However, we give first because it takes faith to give first, and God wants us to trust Him. He tells us in Proverbs 3:9-10 to “honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops and then your barns will be filled with overflowing.” We give first, and the blessings of God follow.

If you’re interested in taking the Tithe-Challenge, simply CLICK HERE to get started.
You can also CLICK HERE to begin giving online.

See you this Sunday!!
